DMG is delighted to announce that its Sustainability Manager, John Covellow has earned his LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is a certification system overseen by the US Green Building Council. The LEED program for new and rennovated buildings encourages and follows a holistic approach to sustainable building through their methodical multi step process. Every step is about implementing strategies for better energy, environmental and health performance of buildings.

Every LEED AP has to pass an accreditation exam administered by the US Green Building Certification Institute. This valuable designation demonstrates technical competence for understanding green building practices and principles and the LEED requirements, resources and processes.

With a specialization in Building Design and Construction this certification makes John one of a small number of sustainable building specialists in Thailand.

“We are seeing more and more owners and building operators in Southeast Asia interested in sustainability, simply because of the sound financial return provided by the operating expense savings from a sustainable and green building,” said David Arell of DMG.

“The prudence of sustainability and environmental sensitivity is axiomatic to DMG’s management practices.”
